REFLECTION

In this module, I've learnt about the many different kinds of design principles, how they can be identified, how they be re-created, and have learnt to be more aware, conscious, and observant of the principles when creating or analysing design. What I enjoyed the most from this module was the opportunity for expansive analysis as it allowed me to delve in deep into the potential meanings and explanations for a design, I enjoy meaningful design so to deconstruct a piece and unravel its message was very interesting and insightful for me. What I most did not enjoy was how labourous the entire process came out to be- there were countless nights where I had stayed up in order to work on a task, though I suppose that comes with any hard work. What I have learnt about myself through this module was that I was one, capable of creating abstract art, and two, come to unconscious conclusions of meanings while designing, unaware of it, until later on when prompted to explain it. What's changed in my learning journey is the risk I am willing to take in order to reap bigger rewards in the end, such as writing longer than required analysis' and what has not changed is the copious amount of effort I put in and my particular nature. Finally, something that can be improved in this module is perhaps the submission criteria, as I was quite confused about the PDF blog posts. I would prefer if all submissions were simply on the blog.
